This error occurs for various reasons. Perhaps the archive was not downloaded completely due to an internet connection failure. Or your archiver simply does not support a rare file format. Sometimes the file itself was originally created with errors or was damaged during transfer.

The choice depends on the task at hand: some people choose free programs to get started, while others prioritize power and precision for complex projects. The main thing is to find the one that works best for you.
The “Capacity:” parameter is set automatically. Just press Enter.
Do not change anything else and scroll down to the last item, “Create Volume.” Press Enter.
Scroll down using the Tab key and specify the level, i.e., the RAID configuration (“RAID Level:”). Select “RAID 0 (Stripe)” using the arrow keys and press Enter.
To exit the RAID settings, press the Esc key and press the Y key (“Yes”) to confirm. The computer will restart. From now on, every time it boots up, we will see information about the status of our array on the screen for a moment. If we want to change something in its settings, press Ctrl-I again and enter the RAID control panel. A warning will appear stating that all data on the drives will be lost. Press the letter Y, which means “Yes.” scroll down and leave the “Stripe Size:” parameter as is.
The utilities offered by PowerToys allow users to customize their computer in unique ways. It contains several utilities, such as “FancyZones”, “Explorer Settings”, Awake, Color Picker, Keyboard Manager and others. This set of utilities can significantly improve your productivity.
Returning to Awake, this is perhaps the simplest feature of all. When Awake is running, it overrides your PC's power and sleep settings, and instead your computer follows the instructions from Awake.
This does not affect your current power scheme settings. You also don't need to create any custom power schemes. It runs in the background and keeps your computer awake by periodically sending instructions that it should remain in a certain state. As soon as you close the application, your computer will return to its normal state. To use Awake, you need to download the PowerToys application, as it is not pre-installed by default.
Installing PowerToys
Awake is available in both the stable and experimental versions of the application. The experimental version of PowerToys includes an additional utility—mute for video conferencing—which is not available in the stable version.
For this guide, we are installing the stable version. Go to the Microsoft PowerToys GitHub. The current stable version is v0.43.0. Scroll down until you find the option “Resources” and download the .exe file for PowerToys.
Run the file after downloading it and follow the instructions on the screen.
How to use “Awake” from PowerToys
Whenever you need to use the Awake utility, you can enable it in the PowerToys settings.
- Open and run PowerToys from the menu. “Start”, “Search” or on the taskbar.
- Open the PowerToys settings window.
- On the tab “General” make sure you run PowerToys as an administrator. If you see the message “Run as user”, press the button “Restart as administrator” andmove the switch “Always run as administrator” to the position “On.”.
Reason 1: Corrupted archive“Run as administrator”, you don't need to do anything.
- Now go to the “Awake” option in the navigation menu on the left.
- Turn on the switch “Enable Awake”, if you haven't already done so.
- Depending on your preferences, configure Awake's behavior.
Below you will find three states that you can use:
Off (Passive): this is the default state. When the utility is in passive mode, it does not affect the wake state of your PC and works according to your power plan settings.
Prohibit sleep mode indefinitely: if you select this state, your computer will remain active indefinitely until you explicitly put it to sleep, disable the setting, or exit/disable the application.
Temporarily disable sleep mode: in this state, you set a timer, and your computer will not go to sleep until the time you specify has elapsed. After that, it returns to its normal state according to your power plan settings. If you change the timer before the previous time expires, it will reset the timer.
Select one of the states listed above depending on what you need at the moment. When selecting “Temporarily disable sleep mode” also enter the hours and minutes.
- Next, you can prevent the system from turning off your monitor screen. If you enable the feature “Do not turn off the screen”, not only will the computer not go to sleep, but the screen will also remain on at all times.
And that's all you need to do to prevent your computer from automatically going into sleep mode and turning off the display.
So, with PowerToys, you now have a simple and reliable way to keep Windows running for as long as you need it to. No more struggling with system settings or worrying that your computer will go to sleep at the most inopportune moment.
This little utility, “Don't Sleep,” does its job perfectly without overwhelming you with unnecessary options. Just turn on the switch and you can relax. This is especially convenient during long downloads, presentations, or when you're just watching a movie.
If you see the message “The archive is damaged or has an unknown format” when opening the archive, most likely the file was not downloaded completely, the download or transfer process was interrupted, or the archiver does not support this type of archive. First, try re-downloading the file — this is often the problem. If that doesn't help, check which archiver was used to create it (sometimes 7-Zip or WinRAR helps) and try opening it with that program. Some programs can repair damaged archives — WinRAR, for example, has a “Repair” function that can save the file. The main thing is not to panic and check everything step by step.
